Nicole Zupp is a grimdark fantasy author writing stories that explore humanity, self-destruction, and hubris through dark, character-focused worlds. Her work leans into grit, consequence, and morally complicated decisions, where characters are often forced to confront what they’re willing to become in order to survive or gain power.
She has been writing for 9 years, developing her voice through short stories. Her debut novel marks her first step into publishing, and reflects her interest in stories that balance action and conflict. Drawing inspiration from myth, folklore, and the darker edges of human nature, Nicole’s writing leans into tension, betrayal, and the slow unraveling of identity under pressure.
Nicole lives with her husband and 5 kids, and continues working on new projects and building out her fantasy worlds. When she’s not writing, she spends time with her chickens, gardening, or traveling.
